What is Original data in D-Lab Eye Tracking?

Last update: 27. March 2023

“Original” data essentially means raw data that was captured by real-time image processing. In addition to Left/Right X/Y coordinates, D-Lab also provides the combined coordinates which is calculated using both eye coordinates (average pupil position). This is how D-Lab is able to show one gaze crosshair on the scene video even though the data comes from two eyes. When one of the pupils is not available, the original coordinates will be just the coordinates of the available pupil.
